Euryale spinosa adalah spesies fosil dari Euryale yang berasal dari zaman Miosen[2] di Ardnamurchan, Skotlandia, Britania Raya.[1][2]

Deskripsi

Butir serbuk sari berbentuk lingkaran hingga elips dengan eksin berduri ini memiliki lebar 30 μm. Tumbuhan ini memiliki alur selebar 3 μm. Duri-duri yang tajam dan kokoh memiliki panjang 2 μm.[3]

Taksonomi

Spesies ini dipublikasikan oleh John Baird Simpson pada tahun 1961[3][1][2] berdasarkan butir serbuk sari fosil.[3]

Etimologi

Epitet spesifik spinosa berarti berduri.[4]

Distribusi

Spesies ini ditemukan di Skotlandia, Britania Raya.[2][1]
