Evsey Domar

Evsey David Domar (lahir 16 April 1914 di Łódź, yang saat itu bagian dari Kekaisaran Rusia, kini Polandia) adalah seorang ekonom Rusia-Amerika yang dikenal luas berkat kontribusinya dalam teori pertumbuhan ekonomi, khususnya melalui model Harrod-Domar yang dikembangkannya secara independen bersama ekonom Inggris Roy Harrod. Model ini menekankan pentingnya investasi untuk mencapai pertumbuhan ekonomi yang stabil dan menjadi dasar bagi model pertumbuhan neoklasik yang lebih lanjut. Domar menempuh pendidikan di Universitas California, Los Angeles (BA, 1939), Universitas Michigan (MS, 1940), dan meraih gelar doktor dari Universitas Harvard pada tahun 1947 di bawah bimbingan Alvin Hansen. Karier akademiknya mencakup posisi di Carnegie Institute of Technology, Universitas Chicago, Universitas Johns Hopkins, dan Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) dari tahun 1957 hingga pensiun.
