Examen artium

Examen artium adalah nama sertifikasi akademik yang diberikan di Denmark dan Norwegia, yang mengkualifikasikan murid untuk pemasukan ke studi-studi universitas. Examen artium awalnya diperkenalkan sebagai ujian utama dari Universitas Copenhagen pada 1630. Universitas Copenhagen adalah satu-satunya universitas di Denmark-Norwegia sampai Universitas Negeri Frederick di Christiania didirikan pada 1811.

Pada Norwegia, examen artium resmi ditiadakan setelah angkatan tahun 1982 (namun istilah tersebut terkadang masuk dipakai secara informal untuk menyebut diploma dari "videregående skole" pada masa sekarang).[1]
