Post-mortem Afonso Pena

Fotografi post-mortem (juga dikenal sebagai potret berkabung) adalah praktik fotografi orang mati. Berbagai budaya memakai praktik tersebut, meskipun ranah kajian terbaik dari fotografi post-mortem berada di Eropa dan Amerika.[1] Terdapat persengketaan soal apakah foto-foto awal menampilkan orang mati atau tidak.

Bentuk tersebut meneruskan tradisi potret berkabung yang dilukis pada masa sebelumnya. Pada masa sekarang, fotografi post-mortem paling umum dalam konteks kerja kepolisian dan patologi.
