Franz Steindachner
Franz Steindachner (11 November 1834 – 10 Desember 1919) adalah seorang zoologis, iktiologis dan herpetologis asal Austria. Ia menerbitkan lebih dari 200 makalah tentang ikan dan lebih dari 50 makalah tentang reptil dan amfibi[1] Steindachner mendeskripsikan ratusan spesies ikan yang baru dan puluhan amfibi dan reptil baru.[2] Sekitar tujuh spesies reptil diambil dari namanya.[3]
