Fredrik Barth

Thomas Fredrik Weybye Barth (22 Desember 1928 – 24 Januari 2016) adalah seorang antropolog sosial Norwegia yang menerbitkan beberapa buku etnografi dengan pandangan formalis yang jelas. Dia adalah profesor di Departemen Antropologi di Universitas Boston, dan sebelumnya memegang jabatan profesor di Universitas Oslo, Universitas Bergen (tempat dia mendirikan Departemen Antropologi Sosial), Universitas Emory, dan Universitas Harvard. Ia diangkat sebagai sarjana pemerintah pada tahun 1985
