GSAT-16 adalah 11 satelit komunikasi India dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan jumlah transponder yang pada gilirannya meningkatkan satelit telekomunikasi berbasis, televisi, jasa VSAT di India.
GSAT-16 mirip dengan GSAT-15 dengan masing-masing satelit seberat 3.150 kg dan memiliki kapasitas pembangkit listrik sebesar 6,8 kW.
