Gelochelidon adalah sebuah genus dara-laut. Genus tersebut dianggap sebagai genus monotipik sampai dara-laut australia dipisahkan dari dara-laut tiram.

Taksonomi

Genus Gelochelidon diperkenalkan pada 1830 oleh zoologis Jerman Alfred Brehm.[2] Spesies tipenya adalah dara-laut tiram.[3] Nama tersebut memadukan kata bahasa Yunani Kuno gelaō yang artinya "tertawa" dengan khelidōn yang artinya "burung layang-layang".[4]
