Gemak tegalan (bahasa Latin: Turnix sylvatica) adalah spesies burung dari famili Turnicidae, dari genus Turnix. Burung ini memiliki habitat di padang rumput, semak belukar.
Ciri-ciri
Gemak tegalan memiliki tubuh berukuran sangat kecil (14 cm). Berwarna merah karat, mirip Puyuh. Perbedaan: Dada merah karat tanpa garis. Ada coretan putih pada tubuh bagian atas. Warna kemerahan dan bintik-bintik hitam pada sisi tubuh. Betina: Tubuh lebih besar. Warna lebih gelap dan lebih merah. Iris kuning, paruh abu-abu, kaki keputih-putihan. Kebiasaan hidup mirip dengan Gemak loreng. Sarang mirip Gemak loreng.
