Gens Statilia

Gens Statilia adalah sebuah keluarga rakyat jelata berdarah Lucania di Romawi kuno. Para anggota dari gens tersebut mula-mula disebutkan pada abad ketiga SM, saat salah satu dari mereka memimpin serangan Lucania ke kota Thurii, dan lainnya mengkomandani pasukan kavaleri sekutu pada Perang Punic Kedua. Namun, di Roma, Statilii mula-mula menerima perhatian pada zaman Cicero, kala mereka memegang pangkat equestrian. Para anggota pertama dari keluarga tersebut yang memegang jabatan sebagai konsul adalah Titus Statilius Taurus pada 37 SM, dan para keturunannya terus mengisi jabatan tertinggi dari negara Romawi sampai masa Marcus Aurelius.[1]
