Gigabita (bahasa Inggris: Gigabyte) adalah satuan unit informasi yang menunjukkan ukuran atau daya penyimpanan komputer. Simbol satuan ini adalah GB. Satu gigabita sama dengan 109 (1.000.000.000) bita atau 220 (1.073.741.824) bita.
Perbedaan antara miliar bit dan gibibit lebih besar dari 7%. Ini cukup untuk menghadirkan alat penyimpan dalam kapasitas gigabit secara ekonomis dibandingkan dengan gibibit/gibibyte. RAM dan flash chip biasanya diperlukan untuk mempunyai kapasitas angka biner 2n, tetapi untuk cakram keras tidak dibutuhkan.

- Satu jam video televisi resolusi standar pada 2,2 MB/detik berukuran sekitar 1 GB.
