Gregorius dari Akner

Gregory dari Akner (bahasa Armenia: Գրիգոր Ակներցին) atau Grigor Aknertsi, Grigor Akants, Akanc adalah seorang sejarawan dan penulis Armenia dari abad ke-13. Dia terkenal karena karyanya yang berharga, Sejarah Bangsa Pemanah, yang merupakan sumber penting untuk penaklukan Mongol di Timur Dekat dan periode pemerintahan Mongol di Armenia. Ini adalah satu-satunya karya sastra Armenia yang naskah aslinya masih ada sampai sekarang.

Gregorius pindah dari Armenia Timur ke Kilikia pada tahun 1265 atau 1266, di mana ia bergabung dengan biara Akner.[1]

Karyanya disunting dan diterbitkan dengan terjemahan bahasa Inggris oleh Robert P. Blake dan Richard N. Frye pada tahun 1949.[2] Terjemahan bahasa Inggris yang baru oleh Robert Bedrosian muncul pada tahun 2003.
