Ground-controlled approach

Dalam penerbangan ground-controlled approach (GCA), adalah jenis layanan yang disediakan oleh pengendali lalu lintas udara di mana mereka memandu pesawat untuk pendaratan yang aman, termasuk dalam kondisi cuaca buruk, berdasarkan citra radar. Paling sering GCA menggunakan informasi dari salah satu Precision Approach Radar (PAR, untuk presisi pendekatan dengan vertikal, bimbingan glidepath) atau Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR, menyediakan non-presisi Surveillance radar pendekatan tanpa bimbingan glidepath). GCA istilah dapat merujuk kepada semua jenis radar tanah dipandu pendekatan seperti PAR, PAR tanpa glideslope atau ASR. Ketika kedua bimbingan vertikal dan horizontal dari PAR diberikan, pendekatan ini disebut pendekatan presisi. Jika tidak ada PAR glidepath diberikan, bahkan jika peralatan PAR digunakan untuk bimbingan lateral, itu dianggap sebagai pendekatan non presisi.
