Hagit

Hagit (bahasa Ibrani: חַגִּית‎ Ḥaggîṯ; terkadang Hagith, Aggith; bahasa Inggris: Haggith) merupakan seorang tokoh perempuan Alkitab, yaitu salah satu istri Daud.[1] Namanya berarti "meriah."[2]

Catatan Alkitab

Hagit disebutkan di dalam 2 Samuel 3:4, 1 Raja-raja 1–2, dan 1 Tawarikh 3:2. Ia hanya muncul sebagai ibunda Adonia, putra keempat Daud, lahir (menurut 2 Samuel 3) di kota Hebron, saat Daud melarikan diri dari Saul.

Sementara Adonia biasanya digambarkan di dalam Alkitab sebagai "putra Hagit," tidak ada saran bahwa ibundanya terlibat di dalam upayanya untuk mendapatkan takhta, atau dengan upayanya (kemungkinan bermotif politik) untuk membawa Abisag, perawat ayahandanya.[3]
