Hamerkop (Scopus umbretta), juga disebut umbrette, adalah sebuah burung ukuran menengah. Spesies tersebut adalah satu-satunya spesies yang hidup dalam genus Scopus dan famili Scopidae. Spesies tersebut ditemukan di daratan utama Afrika, Madagaskar dan Arabia, hidup di berbagai daratan basah, yang meliputi estuari, pinggir danau, kolam ikan, tepi sungai dan pesisir berbatu.
