Harold Gresley
Harold Gresley (1892 - 1967) adalah seniman Inggris, mengikuti jejak ayah dan kakeknya. Ia umumnya melukis pemandangan tetapi juga melukis potret.[1]
Biografi
Gresley dilahirkan di Derbyshire dan belajar di sekolah seni di Derby. Ia adalah putra dari Frank Gresley dan cucu dari James Stephen Gresley keduanya adalah seniman terkenal. Ia menghentikan belajarnya ketika Perang Dunia I mulai. Ia ikut bertempur di Sherwood Foresters dan mendapatkan penghargaan medali. Setelah perang ia melanjutkan belajar di Nottingham[1] di bawah asuhan Arthur Spooner, dan menjadi pengajar di Sekolah Repton. Ia tinggal di Chellaston, dekat Derby sampai wafat tahun 1967.[2]
Beberapa karyanya dipamerkan di Museum dan Galeri Seni Derby setelah 77 karyanya disumbangkan oleh kolektor seni Alfred E. Goodey.[2]
