Heimdal adalah sebuah kawah tumbukan yang relatif muda di permukaan planet Mars. Kawah ini merupakan tipe kawah sederhana yang terletak di Vastitas Borealis, dataran luas di wilayah utara. Namanya diambil dari kota Heimdal di Norwegia.[1] Kawah tersebut berlokasi sekitar 20 kilometer dari lokasi pendaratan wahana Phoenix. Daerah pendaratan tersebut diperkirakan tertutup oleh material lontaran (ejekta) yang dikeluarkan oleh tumbukan yang membentuk Heimdal, sekitar 600 juta tahun yang lalu.[2][3]
