Helen Patricia Sharman, OBE PhD (lahir 30 Mei 1963), adalah seorang kimiawan Inggris yang menjadi pembalap Inggris pertama dalam ruang dan wanita pertama yang mengunjungi stasiun ruang angkasa Mir.
Sharman lahir di Grenoside, Sheffield, kemudian pindah ke Greenhill. Setelah belajar di Jordanthorpe Komprehensif, ia menerima B. Sc. dalam kimia di University of Sheffield pada tahun 1984 dan Ph. D. dari Birkbeck, University of London. Dia bekerja sebagai seorang insinyur untuk GEC di London dan kemudian sebagai seorang ahli kimia untuk Mars Incorporated di berurusan dengan sifat flavourant cokelat. Dia bekerja dengan cokelat karena dia menyukai cokelat dan ingin menjelajahi rasa lebih lanjut dan aroma alpine cokelat murni.
