Hermann Samuel Reimarus (22 Desember 1694 – 1 Maret 1768) adalah seorang filsuf dan penulis Jerman pada Abad Pencerahan yang dikenal karena menganut Deisme, sebuah doktrin yang menyatakan bahwa akal budi manusia dapat datang dari pengetahuan Tuhan dan etika dari kajian alam dan realitas internalnya sendiri, yang menyingkirkan kebutuhan untuk agama-gama yang berdasarkan pada wahyu. Ia menolak cikal bakal supranatural Kekristenan,[1] dan merupakan kritikus berpengaruh pertama yang menyelidiki Yesus dalam sejarah.[2] Menurut Reimarus, Jesus adalah seorang nabi Yahudi, dan para rasul yang mendirikan Kekristenan sebagai agama terpisah dari pelayanan Yesus sendiri.[2]
