Santa Hilda

Santa Hilda dari Whitby (Northumbria, 614 - Whitby, 17 November 680) adalah abdis di Biara Whitby. Putri kedua keponakan Edwin dari Norhumbria, Hereric dan istrinya Breguswīþ.[1] Dia hidup pada masa penting bagi Kekristenan di Bretagne. Seorang wanita dengan pengaruh besar, dia dipandang sebagai pendidik dan ahli Alkitab yang hebat, seorang abdis yang sangat baik, kepadanya datang raja, ratu, pangeran, biarawan, dan orang suci, untuk meminta nasihat.
