Himpunan kosong adalah himpunan yang tidak memiliki anggota.

Dalam matematika, khususnya dalam teori himpunan, himpunan kosong adalah himpunan yang tidak memiliki anggota himpunan.

Simbol himpunan kosong

Simbol umum untuk himpunan kosong adalah: "{}," "" dan "" Simbol yang terakhir diperkenalkan oleh kelompok Bourbaki (terutama Andre Weil) pada tahun 1939, terinspirasi oleh huruf Ø dalam Aksara Denmark dan Norwegia.[1] Simbol lain untuk himpunan kosong antara lain: "Λ", "0", dan "‣" [2]
