Hipotesis dunia RNA
Hipotesis dunia RNA merupakan hipotesis yang mengusulkan bahwa kehidupan yang didasari asam ribonukleat (RNA) mendahului kehidupan yang berdasarkan asam deoksiribonukleat (DNA), RNA, dan protein. RNA dapat menyimpan informasi genetik (seperti DNA) dan juga mengatalis reaksi kimia (seperti protein enzim). RNA telah mendukung kehidupan pra-seluler dan merupakan salah satu tahap utama dalam evolusi kehidupan seluler.
