Historia Compostelana merupakan sebuah karya dalam bahasa Latin yang ditulis mulai dari 1109 di dalam "lingkungan" uskup pertama dan selanjutnya,[1] mulai dari 1120, oleh uskup agung Compostela Diego Gelmírez, salah satu tokoh paling terkemuka di Abad Pertengahan Galisia.[2] Narasi Historia Compostelana mencakup 1100 - 1139, tahun masa jabatan Gelmírez, dalam tiga buku. Agenda utama rangkap dua adalah untuk memuji tindakan uskup agung, sambil membangun fondasi dan hak-hak Santiago de Compostela, termasuk legenda pendirinya, yang memiliki hubungan apostolik dengan Yakobus. Keuskupan telah dipindahkan dari Iria Flavia ke Compostela pada 1095.

Judulnya dalam bahasa Latin adalah De rebus gestis D. Didaci Gelmirez, primi Compostellani Archiepiscopi tetapi hanya dikenal sebagai Historia Compostelana sejak abad ke-XVIII.[3]
