INSAT-3D

INSAT-3D adalah sebuah satelit meteorologi, relay data dan satelit pencarian dan penyelamatan yang dikembangkan oleh Organisasi Penelitian Ruang Angkasa India dan berhasil diluncurkan pada 26 Juli 2013 dengan menggunakan kendaraan peluncuran Ariane 5 ECA dari Guyana Prancis. Satelit ini memiliki banyak unsur teknologi baru seperti sensor bintang, Solar Array Drive Assembly (SADA) mikro untuk mengurangi gangguan pesawat ruang angkasa dan Bus Management Unit (BMU) untuk kontrol dan telekomunikasi dan fungsi telemetri. Hal ini juga mencakup fitur baru rotasi dua-tahunan dan kompensasi gerak Image and Mirror untuk meningkatkan kinerja muatan meteorologi.
