Ibu Sisera


Ibu Sisera melirik keluar dari Jendela, karya Albert Joseph Moore.

Ibu Sisera adalah seorang tokoh Alkitab tanpa nama yang disebutkan dalam Kitab Hakim-Hakim. Putranya, Sisera, dikalahkan dalam pertempuran oleh Debora dan Barak, dan kemudian dibunuh oleh Yael.

Deskripsi

Ibu Sisera hanya disebutkan dalam Hakim–Hakim 5:28–30, dalam Puji-pujian Debora.

Ibu Sisera digambarkan dalam seni rupa dan syair. Sebagian besar penggambarannya menampilkannya sedang menunggu kepulangan Sisera.[1]

Hubungan dengan shofar

Menurut tradisi Yahudi, karena ibu Sisera menangis 100 kali saat putranya tak kembali, orang-orang Yahudi meniupkan shofar sebanyak 100 kali pada Rosh Hashanah, Tahun Baru Yahudi.[2]
