Informan

Seorang perwakilan dari Departemen Luar Negeri menyelamati dan menawarkan bayaran kepada seorang informan, yang memberikan informasi yang berujung pada netralisasi teroris di Filipina.

Informan (juga disebut informer[1]) adalah orang yang memberikan informasi tentang seseorang atau organisasi kepada sebuah agensi. Istilah tersebut biasanya digunakan dalam dunia penegakan hukum, di mana mereka secara resmi disebut sebagai konfidential atau informan kriminal, dan dapat merujuk kepada penyampaian informasi tanpa konsend ari pihak lainnya dengan bayaran dalam bentuk uang atau pribadi.[2] Namun, istilah tersebut juga digunakan dalam bidang politik, industri dan akademia.[3][4]
