Isaac Beeckman (10 Desember 1588 – 19 Mei 1637) adalah seorang filsuf dan ilmuwan Belanda, yang, melalui pembelajaran dan kontaknya dengan filsuf alam utama, "secara virtual memberikan kelahiran atomisme modern".[1][2]

Biografi

Beeckman lahir di Middelburg, Zeeland, dari sebuah keluarga Calvinistik, yang melarikan diri dariBelanda Selatan yang dikendalikan Spanyol beberapa tahun sebelumnya.
