Isaack Gilsemans
Isaack Gilsemans (ca. 1606, Rotterdam - 1646, Batavia),[1] adalah seorang pedagang Belanda dan artis.
Biography
Gilsemans yang paling terkenal karena bergabung dengan explorer Abel Tasman pada ekspedisinya pada 1642-1643 di mana Tasmania, Selandia Baru dan beberapa Kepulauan Pasifik ditemukan. Gilsemans menghasilkan sejumlah gambar yang mendokumentasikan pulau dan pribumi hidup. Lukisannya dari Orang Maori yang pertama untuk Eropa.[2]
