Istana Anhak adalah kediaman kerajaan dari Kerajaan Goguryeo setelah ibukota pindah ke Pyongyang dari Gungnae. Awalnya dibangun pada tahun 427 M, istana ini terletak di distrik Taesong di Pyongyang, Korea Utara,[1] di kaki Gunung Taesong.[2]
Tata letak istana mengikuti sistem arsitektur Korea menggunakan sistem benteng Korea. Itu adalah istana tempat raja biasanya tinggal. Bangsawan dan orang biasa tinggal di luar kastel ini, dan benteng luar yang mengelilingi daerah perkotaan hadir. Ada parit di luar tembok timur dan barat istana. Bagian dalam istana terdiri dari istana besar dan koridor, serta taman dan danau buatan, dan 52 situs istana telah diidentifikasi.[1][3] Istana ini dibangun setelah pemindahan ibu kota ke Pyongyang, di mana kelompok politik yang akrab dengan budaya Korea menjadi kelompok birokrasi baru di bawah perlindungan raja.[4]
