James Meade
James Edward Meade (23 Juni 1907, Swanage, Dorset – 22 Desember 1995, Cambridge) adalah seorang ekonom Britania dan pemenang Hadiah Nobel Ekonomi 1977 bersama dengan ekonom Swedia Bertil Gotthard Ohlin untuk "kontribusi kepada teori perdagangan internasional dan pergerakan kapital internasional."
Meade menyenyam pendidikan di Malvern College dan Oriel College, Oxford pada tahun 1926 untuk membaca Greats, tetapi pindah ke Filsafat, Politik, dan Ekonomi dan terkenal. Mintanya di bidang ekonomi berkembang sejak dari pascasarjana di Trinity College, Cambridge (1930-1), di mana ia sering berdiskusi dengan ekonom terkemuka termasuk Dennis Robertson dan John Maynard Keynes.
