Jenny Zillhardt atau Marguerite Valentine (16 Maret 1857 – 1 Februari 1939) adalah seorang pelukis Prancis.

Biografi

Marguerite-Valentine-Jenny Zillhardt (Jenny Zillhardt) lahir di Saint-Quentin di Aisne. Dia mulai belajar melukis di Académie Julian di Paris pada tahun 1877, bersama Louise Catherine Breslau dan Marie Bashkirtseff.[1] Dia belajar di bawah Tony Robert-Fleury.

Dia pertama kali dipamerkan di Paris Salon pada tahun 1878 dengan Deux amis. Sejak saat itu, partisipasinya yang sering di Salon menghasilkan beberapa penjualan.[2]

Zillhardt adalah bagian dari kelompok wanita Prancis yang diwakili di Pameran Dunia Chicago 1893, sebuah pameran di Gedung Wanita.[3]

Karya-karyanya termasuk dalam koleksi Musée d'Orsay,[4] museum Langres, dan museum Saint-Quentin.[5]

Dia diangkat menjadi petugas instruksi publik (officier de l'instruction publique) pada tahun 1910,[6] dan menerima Legion of Honor (chevalier de la légion d'honneur) pada tahun 1930.[7]

Lukisannya Régalez-vous mesdames termasuk dalam karya sejarawan seni Inggris tahun 1905 Walter Shaw Sparrow, Pelukis Wanita Dunia.[8]

Zillhardt meninggal pada Februari 1939[1] di Neuilly-sur-Seine.[2]

Dia adalah saudara perempuan dari Madeleine Zillhardt, model dan pendamping Louise Catherine Breslau.
