Joseph Choong (lahir 23 Mei 1995) adalah seorang pentatlet modern Inggris. Ia memenangkan medali emas dalam lomba tersebut pada Olimpiade Musim Panas 2020 dan gelar dunia pada 2022 dan 2023.[1][3]
Kehidupan awal
Choong lahir di Orpington, London Tenggara dari ayah Tionghoa Malaysia Michael Choong dan ibu Inggris Beverley, keduanya doktor.[4][5] Ia dididik di New Beacon dan Whitgift School.[6][7] Ia belajar di University of Bath dan lulus dengan gelar dalam bidang matematika.[8] Ia juga berlatih di Pentathlon GB High Performance Centre yang terletak di universitas tersebut.[9] Adiknya Henry juga menjadi pentatlet modern dan berkompetisi untuk Britania Raya pada Olimpiade Pemuda Musim Panas 2014.[10]
