Johan Gustaf Acrel (15 Mei 1741 - 18 Februari 1801) adalah seorang dokter dan Profesor Kedokteran Swedia di Universitas Uppsala. Ia juga sempat menjadi Rektor Magnificus di universitas yang sama.[1]
Acrel lahir di Stockholm, Swedia. Setelah belajar kedokteran di rumah sakit Serafimerlasarettet di Stockholm, ia pergi ke Uppsala untuk belajar kedokteran. Ia menjadi Master dari Perhimpunan Ahli Bedah (Kirurgiska societeten) di Stockholm pada tahun 1763. Ia kemudian diangkat sebagai Feldsher di Malmö. Pada tahun 1765 ia menjadi Doktor Kedokteran di Uppsala. Di Uppsala, reputasinya tumbuh sebagai salah satu dokter terbaik di Eropa. Ia melakukan beberapa perjalanan ke Jerman dan Prancis. Pada tahun 1788 ia diangkat sebagai Profesor Kedokteran Praktis di Universitas Uppsala, dan pada tahun 1779 ia diangkat sebagai Anggota Akademi Ilmu Pengetahuan Kerajaan Swedia. Ia juga menjadi Rektor Magnificus Universitas Uppsala pada musim semi tahun 1796.[1]
