John Carroll SJ (8 Januari 1735 – 3 Desember 1815[1]) adalah seorang prelat Katolik Amerika yang menjabat sebagai Uskup Baltimore pertama, yang saat itu merupakan satu-satunya keuskupan di Amerika Serikat yang baru berdiri, dari tahun 1789 hingga 1815. Ia menjadi Uskup Agung Baltimore pertama pada tahun 1808, hingga saat itu Carroll juga telah mengelola seluruh Gereja Katolik AS. Lahir dari keluarga aristokrat di Provinsi Maryland era kolonial, Carroll menghabiskan sebagian besar tahun-tahun awalnya sebagai pastor di Eropa, mengajar dan melayani sebagai kapelan. Setelah kembali ke Maryland pada tahun 1773, ia mulai mengorganisasi Gereja Katolik di Amerika dengan sekelompok kecil pastor.
