John Maynard Smith[a] FRS (6 Januari 1920 – 19 April 2004) adalah seorang pakar biologi evolusi dan genetik asal Inggris.[1] Awalnya merupakan insinyur kedirgantaraan pada Perang Dunia Kedua, ia meraih gelar dua dalam genetik di bawah bimbingan pakar biologi terkenal J. B. S. Haldane.
