John McCallum

John McCallum PC (9 April 1950 – 21 Juni 2025) adalah seorang politikus, ekonom, diplomat, dan profesor universitas Kanada. Mantan anggota Parlemen dari Partai Liberal Kanada (Anggota Parlemen (Kanada)), McCallum menjabat sebagai Duta Besar Kanada untuk Tiongkok dari tahun 2017 hingga diminta mengundurkan diri oleh Perdana Menteri Trudeau pada tahun 2019.[1][2] Sebagai anggota parlemen, ia mewakili daerah pemilihan Markham—Thornhill dan sebelumnya mewakili Markham—Unionville dan Markham. Ia adalah anggota Dewan Penasihat Ratu untuk Kanada.
Seorang politikus federal veteran yang memulai karier politiknya pada tahun 2000, McCallum bertugas dalam pemerintahan perdana menteri Liberal Jean Chrétien, Paul Martin, dan Justin Trudeau.
