Jonathan William Scott Hofstedt (lahir 23 Oktober 1969) adalah seorang aktor asal Amerika Serikat. Dikenal secara profesional sebagai Jon Huertas, ia terkenal karena perannya sebagai pemburu penyihir, Brad Alcerro di Sabrina the Teenage Witch, sebagai Sersan Antonio 'Poke' Espera di seri HBO, Generation Kill, sebagai Joe Negroni dalam film Why Do Fools Fall in Love, sebagai detektif pembunuhan, Javier Esposito di Castle dan sebagai Miguel Rivas di This Is Us.

Awal kehidupan

Huertas lahir di New York City, New York, dari ayah asal Puerto Rico dan ibu asal Kaukasia.[1] Ia dibesarkan oleh kakek-neneknya. Pada usia 10 tahun, ia mulai ikut serta dalam drama sekolah, yang merupakan inspirasi pertamanya untuk menekuni dunia akting. Huertas lulus SMA John Handley di Winchester, pada tahun 1987 di usia 17 tahun. Setelah menghabiskan satu tahun kuliah, dia mendaftar di Angkatan Udara Amerika Serikat pada tahun 1987 dan bertugas selama 8 tahun sebagai spesialis senjata nuklir/konvensional pesawat terbang.[2][3] Dia berpartisipasi dalam Operasi Just Cause dan Operasi Badai Gurun.[4]

Kehidupan pribadi

Huertas menikahi kekasih, Nicole Bordges, di Tulum, Meksiko pada 4 Mei 2014.[5]
