Jon Myer (29 September 1922 – 30 Agustus 2001) adalah seorang fisikawan eksperimental dan penemu yang meraih 50 paten Amerika Serikat dalam bidang semikonduktor, mekanika, elektronik, magnetik dan optik.[1] Karya menonjolnya meliputi serangkaian besar riset dan penemuannya dari scanner pasar swalayan[2][3] sampai teknologi laser microwelder.[4] Sepanjang kariernya, Myer menjadi pengarang 11 makalah pembelajaran tentang teknologi material semikonduktor, instrumentasi optik, pengolahan informasi dan sejarah sains. Pada 1972, ia masuk dalam perhimpunan teknik kehormatan Tau Beta Pi.[5]
