Kiprah
Jorge Anibal Quintero Chacón menerima penahbisan imamat pada 27 Juni 1981.
Paus Benediktus XVI mengangkatnya pada 19 Desember 2008 menjadi Uskup Margarita. Ia menerima penahbisan episkopal dari Uskup San Cristóbal de Venezuela, Mario del Valle Moronta Rodríguez, pada 7 Maret didampingi oleh Giacinto Berloco, Nunsius Apostolik Venezuela, dan José Hernán Sánchez Porras, Uskup Militer Venezuela. Ia mulai bertugas di Keuskupan Margarita pada 19 Maret 2009.
Pada 11 Juli 2014, Paus Fransiskus mengangkatnya menjadi Uskup Barcelona.
