Joseph O'Rourke
Joseph O'Rourke adalah seorang Profesor Ilmu Komputer Olin di Smith College dan ketua pendiri departemen ilmu komputer Smith. Minat penelitian utamanya adalah geometri komputasi.
O'Rourke adalah orang pertama yang menerbitkan algoritma untuk menentukan kotak pembatas minimum dari satu titik yang ditetapkan dalam tiga dimensi.
Pada tahun 1985, O'Rourke menjabat sebagai ketua program tahunan pertama tentang Simposium Geometri Komputasional. Ia sebelumnya adalah moderator arXiv untuk geometri komputasi dan matematika diskrit.
Pada tahun 2012, O'Rourke dinobatkan sebagai Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery.[1]
