Judith Gautier (25 Agustus 1845 – 26 Desember 1917) adalah seorang penyair, penerjemah, dan novelis sejarah Perancis, putri dari Théophile Gautier dan Ernesta Grisi, saudara perempuan penyanyi dan penari balet terkenal Carlotta Grisi.[1]
Dia menikah dengan Catulle Mendès, tetapi segera berpisah darinya dan berselingkuh singkat dengan komposer Richard Wagner selama akhir musim panas 1876. Dia berkolaborasi dengan Pierre Loti, novelis terkenal , dalam menulis sebuah drama, La fille du ciel (1912; bahasa Inggris, "The Daughter of Heaven"), diterjemahkan dan diproduksi di bawah pengawasan pribadi mereka di The New Theatre , Kota New York. Dia adalah seorang sarjana Oriental dan karya-karyanya terutama membahas tema-tema Cina dan Jepang.[1] Terjemahannya termasuk yang paling awal untuk membawa puisi Cina dan Jepang menjadi perhatian penyair Eropa modern. Dia adalah anggota Académie Goncourt (1910–17).
