Kanō Hideyori

Kanō Hideyori (狩野秀頼) adalah seorang pelukis Jepang dari aliran Kanō di Kyoto.[1] Tanggal lahir dan kematiannya tidak diketahui, tetapi ia aktif pada pertengahan abad ke-16, awal periode Momoyama (1573–1603).[2] Tidak banyak yang diketahui tentangnya, tetapi ia mungkin adalah putra atau cucu Kano Motonobu.[1]

Maple Viewers

Gaya lukisannya digambarkan sebagai "mengadopsi kualitas permukaan yamato-e, yang pada hakikatnya adalah gaya Tiongkok".[3] Karena itu, ia melukis Maple Viewers, baik sebagai karya pionir yang mendahului ukiyo-e, atau salah satu contoh paling awal dari gerakan tersebut.
