Karel Cejp


Karel Cejp (22 Februari 1900 – 22 September 1979) adalah seorang ahli botani dan ahli mikologi Cekoslovakia. Setelah lulus dari pendidikan menengah setara dengan SMA (rokycanském gymnáziu), Ia bekerja dengan Bohuslav Horak, seorang ahli tumbuhan dari Semenanjung Balkan dan Mediterania. Kemudian Ia menjadi mahasiswa di Charles University in Prague bersama Josef Velenovský. Pada tahun 1933 dia menerima beasiawa doktor, dan pada tahun 1948 mendapat gelar profesor. Cejp menjadi editor jurnal mikologi Czech Mycology pada tahun 1948.[1] Takson jamur diberi nama sesuai namanya Cejpia,[2] Cejpomyces (sekarang Thanatephorus), dan Cejpomycetaceae (sejak dikelompokan lagi ke Ceratobasidiaceae).

Standar singkatan penulis Cejp digunakan untuk mengindikasikan orang ini ketika mengutip sebuah nama botani.[3]
