Katalog bintang adalah katalog astronomi yang memuat daftar bintang.[1] Dalam astronomi, banyak bintang dikenal dan dirujuk hanya berdasarkan nomor katalog yang tercantum dalam katalog tersebut.[2] Katalog bintang adalah daftar bintang yang umumnya disusun berdasarkan posisi dan magnitudonya (tingkat kecerlangan). Dalam beberapa kasus, katalog juga memuat karakteristik lain, seperti tipe spektral dan sifat fisik lainnya.[3][4] Satu bintang dapat tercantum dalam beberapa katalog yang berbeda dan karena itu dapat memiliki lebih dari satu penamaan atau kode identifikasi.[2][3]
