Kecoak jerman (Blattella germanica) adalah sebuah spesies kecoak kecil, umumnya memiliki panjang sekitar 1,1 hingga 1,6 cm (0,43 hingga 0,63 in).[1][2] Warna bervariasi dari cokelat hingga hampir hitam. Kecoak ini memiliki dua pola garis gelap yang kruang lebih sejajar pada protonumnya, memanjang secara anteroposterior dari belakang kepalanya sampai ke dasar sayap. Meski B. germanica memiliki sayap, mereka hampir tidak bisa terbang, meski mereka dapat terbang layang bila terganggu.[3] Dari segelintir spesies kecoak yang merupakan hama domestik, spesies ini barangkali menjadi contoh yang paling mengganggu secara luas.[4] Spesies ini sangat berkerabat dekat dengan kecoak asia, dan bagi pengamat umum, keduanya dapat tampak hampir mirip dan dapat tertukar dengan satu sama lainnya.
