Kembung gepeng ( Rastrelliger faughni ) adalah spesies makarel sejati dalam keluarga scombrid ( Scombridae ) dari Indo-Pasifik. Panjang maksimum yang dilaporkan adalah 20 cm, dan berat maksimum yang dilaporkan adalah 0,75 kg.[2]

Meskipun FAO melaporkan tidak ada penangkapan komersial kembung gepeng [3] IUCN melaporkan penangkapan tahunan melebihi 800.000 ton.[1]
