Khuldi

Khuldi (bahasa Arab: شَجَرَةُ الْخُلْدcode: ar is deprecated , translit. syajaratul-khuldⁱ, har. 'pohon keabadian') adalah pohon kehidupan dalam Al-Qur'an, juga disinggung dalam hadis dan tafsir. Berbeda dengan Alkitab, Al-Qur'an hanya menyebutkan sebatang pohon di Surga, yang dibisikkan oleh Iblis kepada manusia pertama, Adam, sebagai pohon keabadian,^{[Qur'an Ṭaha:120]} tetapi ditetapkan sebagai pohon terlarang oleh Allah kepada Adam dan Hawa untuk mendekatinya; dengan kata lain, tidak dikenal pohon pengetahuan" di dalam Al-Qur'an.^[1]^[2]

Dalam Al-Qur'an, pohon melambangkan konsep, ide, cara hidup, atau pedoman hidup. Segala macam kebaikan diwakili oleh pohon yang baik dan keburukan diwakili oleh pohon yang buruk.^{[Qur'an Ibrahim:24]} Iblis menampakkan diri kepada keduanya dan membisikkan kepada Adam dan Hawa bahwa keduanya akan dijanjikan sebuah kerajaan (mulk) yang tidak akan binasa setelah memakan buah dari pohon khuldi itu.^{[Qur'an Ṭaha:120]}

Namun, hadis tersebut membahas tentang pohon lain di surga.^[3]
