Khumbu (juga dikenal sebagai Wilayah Everest)[1] adalah sebuah wilayah di timur laut Nepal di sisi Gunung Everest Nepal. Ini adalah bagian dari Distrik Solukhumbu, yang juga merupakan bagian dari Koshi Pradesh.[2] Khumbu adalah salah satu dari tiga subkawasan pemukiman utama Kirat Kulung dan Sherpa di Himalaya, dua subkawasan lainnya adalah Solu dan Pharak. Ini mencakup kota Namche Bazaar serta desa Thame, Khumjung, Pangboche, Pheriche dan Kunde. Biara Buddha yang terkenal di Tengboche juga terletak di Khumbu.[3]

Ketinggian Khumbu berkisar dari 3.300 meter (11.000 kaki) hingga puncak Gunung Everest 8.848,86 m (29.032 kaki), tempat tertinggi di Bumi.[4] Secara total, wilayah Khumbu berpenduduk 3.456 jiwa dengan 912 rumah (berdasarkan sensus penduduk 2011). Selain itu, terdapat 347 hotel dan kedai teh terdaftar di 13 desa Khumbu.[5] Wilayah Khumbu mencakup Taman Nasional Sagarmatha (di atas Monju) dan Zona Penyangga Taman Nasional Sagarmatha, antara Lukla dan Monju.[2] Lonely Planet menempatkan wilayah Khumbu di peringkat keenam wilayah terbaik di dunia untuk dikunjungi.[6]
