Khyal
Khyal (atau Khayal, Urdu: خیال, Hindi: ख़्याल, ) adalah genre modern dari nyanyian klasik di India Utara. Namanya berasal dari sebuah kata Arab yang artinya "khayalan". Genre tersebut yang muncul lebih terkini ketimbang dhrupad, merupakan sebuah bentuk yang lebih bebas dan fleksibel, dan menyediakan cangkupan yang lebih besar untuk improvisasi.
