Kotaraya
Kotaraya adalah sebuah kota yang berstatus setingkat provinsi. Istilah ini pernah dipakai di Indonesia antara tahun 1965 hingga 1974, sebagaimana diatur dalam Undang-Undang No. 18 Tahun 1965 tentang Pokok-pokok Pemerintahan Daerah.[1] Jakarta merupakan satu-satunya wilayah kotaraya di Indonesia karena statusnya sebagai ibu kota negara. Beberapa negara juga memiliki kotaraya yang setingkat provinsi, seperti Tiongkok (Beijing, Shanghai, dan Tianjin), Vietnam (Hanoi, Kota Hồ Chí Minh, Hải Phòng, Đà Nẵng, Cần Thơ, Huế), dan Korea Selatan (Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Sejong).[2]
